Leadership In Action
Kukpi7 Mike Christian leads with heart, humility, and a deep respect for Splatsin’s teachings. His leadership is grounded in values passed down through generations — respect, unity, and responsibility to both people and land.
He ensures that cultural integrity remains at the centre of every decision — from governance and economic partnerships to community celebrations and youth engagement. Whether in the Council Chambers or standing alongside members at community events, Mike leads by example: showing up, listening, and taking action.
For Mike, leadership isn’t just about policies — it’s about presence. It’s about walking with the people, honouring Splatsin’s traditions, and ensuring that progress never comes at the cost of identity.
That same cultural grounding has guided him through every negotiation and partnership — from local infrastructure projects to provincial and federal discussions — ensuring that Splatsin’s voice is heard, respected, and reflected in the outcomes.
